José Navarro was a US boxer who competed in the flyweight division at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He turned professional after the Olympics, making his début in Madison Square Garden in January 2001 with a victory by decision over Kenny Berrios.
Navarro fought for the WBC super-flyweight title twice. In 2005 he lost by decision to Katsushige Kawashima, and in 2006 he lost another decision to Masamori Tokuyama. He did win lesser titles as the WBC Continental Americas super-flyweight champion and the IBA super-flyweight champion. Navarro lost four of his last five bouts and retired after a loss to Nestor Rocha on 17 September 2010. His professional record was 27 wins (12 by KO), and 6 losses. Navarro later became a trainer, coaching young boxers.
