Biography

Melissa Dimino-Simons competed in the speed skiing demonstration event at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics, placing fifth. Dimino-Simons was the first woman to crack the 200 km/hr barrier when she set a world record of 200.780 km/hr at Les Arcs, France in 1984. At the time of the Albertville Winter Games she was working as a flight attendant for American Airlines.
