Biography
Lorentz Eide was born in Bergen, Norway. He had settled in the United States and was in the US Army in 1948 as a member of the 38th Regimental Combat Team in Colorado. Eide was a private at the time and competed as a member of the USA military patrol team in the demonstration event at the 1948 St. Moritz Winter Olympics.
