Chris Haslock competed in aerials at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, when it was a demonstration event. He started his career as an Alpine racer, turning to freestyle in 1982. Haslock started coaching in 1984 in Telluride, Colorado, and retired from competition in 1989 to focus on coaching.
Haslock also starred in several ski films, including “The Droids”, “Time Waits for Snowman”, “The Maltese Flamingo” and “The Good, the Rad and the Gnarly”. In 2002 Haslock was chief of competition for freestyle skiing at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. He also founded FLY Freestyle, an aerial-based ski club at the Utah Olympic Park.
