Garret Arbelbide was the starting right end on the West Team in the 1932 Olympic demonstration. He played college football for Southern Cal from 1929-31 and was a first-team All-American in 1930 and helped the Trojans win the 1931 national championship.
Arbelbide also played baseball at USC and after college played one year (1933) in the minors as an outfielder with the Hollywood Stars of the Pacific Coast League. He coached the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks football team from 1937-39.
Arbelbide served in the US Army during World War II. After the war he worked as a teacher and rancher. He was inducted into the USC Hall of Fame in 1999.
