John Crickard was a running back who did not start the Olympic demonstration for the East Team, but subbed in for Edward Mays. Crickard played for Harvard, and was a third-team All-American in 1931. Early in the 1931 Harvard-Yale game, he broke a run for 77 yards but was stopped before the goal line. Crickard served in the Army during World War II. He later worked for Gooderham and Worts, Ltd., a Canadian distillery.
