Biography

Brian Edgerly played for the USA at the 1964 Olympic demonstration baseball tournament. Edgerly attended Colgate, graduating in 1965, where he played soccer (football), hockey (ice), and baseball. In 1964 he was named third-team All-American, and led the NCAA in hitting with a .449 average. An outfielder and first baseman, Edgerly was drafted in the 17th round of the 1965 MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox, but never played in the Major Leagues, although he did play two years in the minors with the Waterloo Hawks (A Ball) in 1965-66. He was also named to the Collegiate Hockey Hall of Fame.
