Mike Fiore was an outfielder, first baseman, and designated hitter who played for the USA at the 1988 Olympic demonstration baseball tournament. Fiore also won a silver medal at the 1987 Pan American Games. He played college baseball at the University of Miami from 1985-88.
Fiore was chosen by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 15th round of the 1988 Major League Baseball Draft, but he never played in the majors. Fiore played for the three years in the minors, getting as high as Double-A ball in 1991 with the Arkansas Travelers.
After retirement Fiore worked for USA Baseball. He later joined the staff of his former agent, Scott Boras. Fiore was inducted into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.
