Biography
Dick Joyce was a left-handed pitcher for the USA at the 1964 Olympic demonstration baseball. Joyce played college baseball at Holy Cross, and was signed out of college by the Kansas City Athletics. He appeared in the 1962 and 1963 College World Series.
Joyce played pro ball for three years, mostly in the minor leagues. However, in 1965 he appeared in five games with the Athletics, before returning to the minors. Following his retirement, he joined IBM where he eventually had a long career in the executive suite. Joyce is a member of the Holy Cross and the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame.
