Biography

Cory Snyder was an outfielder who played for the USA at the 1984 Olympic demonstration baseball tournament. He also won a bronze medal at the 1983 Pan American Games. Snyder attended Brigham Young University, and was then drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the first round (4th pick) of the 1984 Major League Baseball Draft.

Snyder quickly made it up to the majors with the Indians and played for them from 1986-90. He later played for the Chicago White Sox and Toronto Blue Jays in 1991, the San Francisco Giants in 1992, and finished his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1993-94. He finished his Major League Baseball career with an average of .247 with 149 home runs and 488 RBIs.

Snyder later became a minor league baseball coach, working with the Tacoma Rainiers in Triple-A in the early 2010s. He then managed Pericos de Puebla in the Mexican League, leading the team to the Mexican League championship in 2016. He also managed the Chinatrust Brothers team in Taiwan in 2017-18.
