Henry Wagnon played for the USA at the 1936 Olympic demonstration baseball event. Wagnon attended the University of Georgia, where he was a three-time letterman in football and baseball. He turned down offers to play Major League ball from the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers. Wagnon became a high school teacher and coach. He was inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in 1990.
