The USA team in the 1948 lacrosse demonstration was from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), which was coached by Ned Harkness, later a head coach in the NHL. Bill Coleman was on the RPI team and was chosen to play in the game. He played third home in the game against England. Coleman was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
