The USA team in the 1948 lacrosse demonstration was from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), which was coached by Ned Harkness, later a head coach in the NHL. Alan Myers was on the RPI team and was chosen to play in the game. He played right attack in the game against England. Myers scored two goals in the game, including the American’s final goal, which eventually preserved the tie.
