Anny Cody-Morris competed in the 800 metre wheelchair demonstration event at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Cody-Morris became paralyzed from a spinal cord injury while she was in high school. She later attended the University of Illinois and obtained a bachelor’s degree in art, and a master of science degree, all while playing wheelchair basketball.
Cody-Morris won six medals at the 1988 and 1992 Paralympics, including a gold in the 4x100 relay in 1992. She also raced longer distances, winning the 1989 Chicago Marathon and the 1990 Los Angeles Marathon.
Cody-Morris later worked in business and governmental sectors. She was a director at BlazeSports America. She also assisted in the signing of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and also worked at the US Department of State in Forein Affairs.
