Stefan Peter was an Austrian dressage rider finishing 38th in the individual event at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. In 1993, Peter followed his riding instructor Fritz Gaulhofer to Weiz in Steiermark and in 1996 won his first national title in the Young Riders category. That same year the pair founded a dressage riding school at Grafendorf. In 1999, Peter won the Austrian national title with Bon Voyage 2 and qualified for the 2000 Sydney Games. Also in 2000, he was the first Austrian dressage rider to qualify for a World Cup final.
