Equestrian rider Marina Köhncke was on the German three-day eventing team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, finishing an unfortunate fourth. In 1990, she won a team silver medal at the World Championships. Domestically, she won one national title, in 1993, two silvers in 1998 and 2000, and a bronze in 1992. By profession Köhncke became a horse trainer and horse manager.
