Biography

Austrian flatwater canoeist Hans Peter Mayr participated in the 1976 Montréal and 1980 Moskva (Moscow) Olympics. He partnered Günther Pfaff in the 1,000 metres K2 in 1976 and was a crew member of the K4 in 1980. On both occasions the canoes reached the semi-finals but were then eliminated. Mayr later moved to Germany near Hof, and joined Faltbootclub Hof.
