Zhang Ouying was a striker who played at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. She also played for China at the 1999, 2003, and 2007 FIFA World Cup, winning a silver medal in 1999. Zhang won a gold medal at the 1998 Asian Games. After retiring from playing, she married an American and moved to the United States. From 2010-12 she coached several teams at the San Diego Futbol Academy in Carmel Valley California, where she was known as “Coach O”. She died quite young from lung cancer.
