Mirko Lüdemann

Mirko Lüdemann was a German ice hockey defender who competed at three Winter Olympics with the German team in 1994 at Lillehammer, 1998 at Nagano, and 2002 at Salt Lake City, finishing seventh, ninth, and fifth, respectively. He won 132 international caps and scored 13 goals.

In Germany, Lüdemann played at club level for more than 20 years with Kölner Haie (1993-2016), helping them win the German national title in 1995 and 2002, and the Spengler Cup in 1999. He was the first player in the German pro league DEL to play in more than 1,000 matches. In total, he played in 1,197 matches. In his testimonial match in 2016, over 12,000 spectators celebrated his retirement. At the same time, his No.12 jersey was also retired. After retiring, Lüdemann worked in the department for marketing and youth recruiting at Kölner Haie.
