Austrian architect Franz Peydl received an Honorable Mention for his work Isfos - Internationales Sportforum für Olympische Spiele together with Josef Schilhab at the 1936 Berlin Olympics in the Art Competitions in the category Architecture, Designs For Town Planning. He was mainly active in Wien (Vienna) and was involved in the design and construction of so-called “Gemeindehäuser” (municipal housing). In 1948, Peydl became the archivist for the Künstlerhaus Wien for a short period.
