Georges Frédéric was a Belgian painter, illustrator and decorator. His father and teacher, the Baron Léon Frédéric, had a great artistic influence on him. Georges studied at the St. Lucas Academy in Schaerbeek and beginning in 1919, at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Bruxelles. His stylized paintings showed mainly river scenes, harbor motifs, marinas, and occasionally figures. Frédéric also worked as a decorator for the Oostende-Dover shipping line.
