Austrian speed skater and cyclist Arthur Mannsbarth participated in both the Oslo Winter and Helsinki Summer Olympics in 1952. He also competed at the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Games. As a speed skater he had his best result in 1952 placing eighth over 5,000 metres. In 1952 he competed in four events, and three in 1956.
At the Helsinki Olympics Mannsbarth was a member of the Austrian cycling road race team, but was disqualified during the race, and the team was unplaced. With the 4,000 metres team pursuit Austria was eliminated in the first round. In 1956, Mannsbarth won the Austrian national tandem title with Franz Wimmer.
Personal Bests: 500 – 45.8 (1953); 1500 – 2:17.4 (1956); 5000 – 8:23.6 (1956); 10000 – 17:36.8 (1958).
