Edward Bruce Douglas was an American industrialist who later became a sculptor. His father Walter drowned in the Titanic disaster. Edward Bruce studied at the New York Central School of Arts. In 1927, he moved to Roma for further studies. Two years later, he went to Saint-Rémy in France, where he primarily worked in stone and bronze. During World War II he went back to the United States. When he planned to go back to France at the end of the war he became ill and died in 1946.
