Arnold Adams was a reserve on the United States’ 4x400 metre relay team at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics, although he did not compete. Adams attended Bates College in Maine and won the New England 440 yard title for three consecutive years.
Adams later obtained a master’s degree in education from Boston University and had a career as a mathematics teacher. He served as a lieutenant commander in the Navy during World War II. Adams was later treasurer of the Cape Playhouse in Dennis, Massachusetts.
