Biography
Lauren Meece was a judoka who fought at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She was then only 17 and was at the time the youngest judoka to represent the USA at the Olympics. Meece won a bronze medal at the 1999 Pan American Games, when she had just turned 16. After the Olympics she came out as a lesbian and stated that athletes should be allowed to focus on their sports goals without having to be role models.
