Biography

Mike Ferry, who rowed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, was a football (American) and lacrosse player in high school, but broke his knee in his senior year of football so he turned to rowing when he went to Bates College. Ferry was named to the US National Team in 1997, winning in the four and the eight at the 1997 FISA International Regatta. He rowed quad sculls at the 1999 World Championships where his boat placed 12th.
