Austrian sailor Denise Cesky finished 20th in the one-person dinghy (Europe class) at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. In 1999 and 2000, she won two national titles and, also in 2000, she finished 25th at the World Championships. Cesky later studied medicine and became a graduated specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics in Wien (Vienna). She married and raised two children.
