Kyle Salyards was a breaststroker who swam the 200 breaststroke at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He also won a gold medal in the event at the 2003 Pan American Games.
Salyards swam at the University of Georgia, winning an NCAA title in 2004 and two Southeastern Conference titles. He continued to swim after the Olympics but retired after not making the 2004 Olympic team. Salyards was inducted into the Susquehanna Valley Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
