Megan Quann-Jendrick was a breaststroke specialist who swam at the 2000 and 2008 Olympic Games. At Sydney in 2000, as Megan Quann, she won gold in her primary event, the 100 metre breaststroke, and also helped the USA medley relay team win gold. After marriage to Nathan Jendrick, they would later name their daughter Sydney. She would add an Olympic silver medal in the medley relay at 2008 Beijing.
Quann-Jendrick had two silver medals at the World Championships, in the 2001 4x100 medley relay and the 2007 200 metre breaststroke. At the Pan Pacific Championships she won gold in the 1999 medley relay and silvers in the 100 breaststroke in 1999 and 2006. She won three gold medals at the 2005 World University Games, in the 50 and 100 metre breaststrokes and the medley relay.
Megan Quann started college at Pacific Lutheran University but later transferred to Arizona State University. As Megan Jendrick she attempted to make the 2012 US Olympic Team and competed at the 2013 US Nationals, winning a bronze in the 50 metre breaststroke, but she retired later that year.
Quann-Jendrick was inducted into the Pacific Northwest Swimming Hall of Fame in 2004 and into the Washington State Sports Hall of Fame in 2019. She also continued to swim in Masters’ events, winning several US national championships.
