Uladzimir Valchkou was a Belarusian tennis player who played professionally from 1995 to 2008. Valchkou achieved a career-best singles ranking of #25 in the world in April 2001 and a doubles ranking of #71 in the world in June 2003. He began his junior career strongly, winning the boys’ singles title at Wimbledon in 1996 with victory against Ivan Ljubičić of Croatia. Despite winning 13 singles and 11 doubles titles on the Challenger and ITF Futures Circuit, he only won one ATP title during his career when he and Lee Hyeong-Taek won the doubles title at the 2003 Siebel Open in San Jose, California.
Valchkou had his best Grand Slam performances at Wimbledon, where he reached the semi-finals in both the singles and doubles. In 2000 he lost in straight sets to the eventual champion Pete Sampras, before losing in the doubles at the same stage a year later with compatriot Max Mirny. Valchkou and Mirny also played together at the Olympics in Sydney and Athina, with the pair reaching the quarter-finals at the 2000 Games.
