Biography

Lorna Woodroffe was a British tennis player who played professionally from 1992 to 2002. Woodroffe achieved a career-best singles ranking of #133 in the world in January 1998 and a doubles ranking of #69 in the world in November 1997. As a doubles specialist, she formed a strong partnership with compatriot Julie Pullin, with the pair reaching their only WTA final in 1997 at the Welsh Open. Woodroffe had 28 wins in the doubles on the ITF Circuit, with 21 of those victories coming with Pullin. The pair played together at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, but lost in straight sets to the Dutch duo, and eventual silver medallists, Kristie Boogert and Miriam Oremans.
