Charlene Tagaloa played volleyball for the USA at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She played in college at Brigham Young University, helping them reach the NCAA Final Four in 1993. She played in Switzerland with VC Tornado Adliswil in 1998-99 and then in Italy with Women Ain Napoli in 2000-01.
Tagaloa, later Charlene Whitted, went into coaching, serving as an assistant at the University of Nebraska from 2002, and helping them win an NCAA title in 2006. She was an assistant for the 2012 US Women’s Junior National Team and assisted with the USA U-20 National Team in 2014-15. In 2015 she returned to BYU as an assistant coach.
