Bob McVey attended Harvard and played left wing on their hockey team. His biggest honor in college came in 1958 when he was awarded the John Tudor Memorial Cup as the MVP of the Harvard hockey team. In addition to playing on the 1960 Olympic champions, McVey represented the United States at the 1959 World’s Championships. After the Olympics, McVey returned to his home in Connecticut where he had set up his own insurance business, which still occupies much of his time.
