Frank Nelson went to Yale and was a great all-round athlete for the Elis. At Yale, in addition to playing hockey for four years, Nelson played soccer, baseball, and rowed for the crew team. After his 1931 graduation he immediately went into the insurance business, interrupting it briefly to make the 1932 Olympic team. He did quite well as an insurance broker and remained in that profession all his life.
