Biography
Figure skater Andreas Nischwitz partnered with Tina Riegel in 1979 and finished 10th at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics in the pairs event. They won silver at the 1981 Europeans and bronze at the Worlds the same year as their best international results ever.
Until 1978, Nischwitz partnered with non-Olympian Susanne Scheibe and together they won the West German title. He repeated this success with Riegel in 1979-81. Nischwitz later became a dentist with his own practice in Tübingen.
