Franz Ortner was an Austrian speed skater who participated in the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Winter Olympics. He placed 27th over 10,000 metres. Ortner was third at the 1927 Austrian nationals and, after World War II, finished third in 1946 and sixth in 1949.
