Biography

Polish sportsman Władysław Pabisz was a good skier, footballer, and luger, but was more at home as an ice hockey goaltender. Pabisz first joined KTH Krynica in 1948, representing the team until 1959 before joining Podhale Nowy Targ in 1960. Although he never won the Polish league title during his career he did finish as a runner-up on three occasions (1953, 1963, 1964). From 1955 to 1964 he also played in 54 matches for the Polish national team, competing at three editions of the World Championships and two Olympic Games.
