Biography

Henryk Przeździecki played ice hockey as a goalie at the 1936 and 1948 Olympic Winter Games. In a long career that lasted from 1929-52 he also competed at the 1935 and 1937 World Championships and was capped 49 times. He skated most of his career with Legia Warszawa but he joined Warszawa AZS from 1936-39. Przeździecki also played for Poland in football one time.

When World War II started Przeździecki fought for Poland in the September Campaign. He was captured by the Germans and spent the rest of the war as a prisoner at Stalag Hammerstein IIB and Prenzlau, although he survived the war. After he stopped playing he coached hockey with both Legia Warszawa and the Polish National Team.
