Roman Sabiński also played football but was known as an ice hockey player. He earned 35 caps making his debut at the 1929 European Championships in 1929, where the Polish team was runner-up. In 1933 he was Polish Champion with Pogoń Lwów. When the Polish troops retreated from Ukraine in 1920, he was a member of the local militia. Later, he had a commercial education and worked as an accountant. After the World War II, Sabiński emigrated to Great Britain and adopted the Anglicized name Norman.
