Biography

Craig Sarner played for the Minnesota Gophers from 1969 until 1971. The year after graduation he played club hockey in Minnesota and then made the U.S. Olympic team in 1972. He signed a pro contract in 1972 but played almost exclusively in the minor leagues. His one NHL stint came in 1975 when he appeared in seven games for the Boston Bruins. After leaving pro hockey he continued to play club hockey and represented the United States at the 1976 and 1979 World’s Championships.
