Biography

Curt Schreiner has been a biathlete since the early 1980s, and has also served in the New York Army National Guard since that time. He had a long career in biathlon, competing until 2009, and he also competed in flatwater canoe racing, racing at the World Junior Championships in 1983 and 1985. Schreiner studied at New York Regents College and Northern Michigan University during his sports career. He was a several time US national champion, with a best international placement of sixth at the 2000 CISM meet. In addition to his work with the National Guard, he has served as the director of the Saratoga Biathlon Club.
