Otto Schubiger played for Zürcher SC at the 1948 and 1952 Winter Olympics and stayed with that team through the 1959 season, helping them win a Swiss Championship in 1949. Schubiger was a forward and a top scorer. He played only one game at the 1948 Olympics, but played eight games in 1952, scoring five goals. He scored 10 goals and had 23 points in 14 league games in the 1957-58 season with Zürcher. Schubiger won six international ice hockey bronze medals – Olympic in 1948, World in 1953, and Europeans in 1947, 1949, and 1952-53.
