Biography

During the late 1950s and throughout the 1960s Polish ice hockey player Augustyn Skórski represented Górnik Katowice and Baildon Katowice. Skórski played in 243 league games, scoring 42 goals and winning the Polish championship with Górnik in 1958. From 1958 to 1965 he also played in 48 matches for the Polish national team, competing at five World Championships and the 1964 Innsbruck Olympics. Skórski was only 44-years-old when he was killed in a car accident in January 1981.
