Biography

Canadian sportsman Arnold Stone was a member of the Grouse Mountain Ski Club. Stone was part of Canada’s Olympic trials in December 1931 ahead of the Lake Placid Games the following February. At the Olympics he competed in the ski jump on the large hill, finishing 29th. After the Games he served with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police from 1932 until 1937 in Alberta before returning to his home in Vancouver. Stone died in Edmonton in June 2004 at the age of 94.
