Biography

Andrzej Szal was a Polish ice hockey player who represented Podhale Nowy Targ and Legia Warszawa. From 1958 to 1963 Szal played for Nowy Targ before joining Legia in 1964, winning the Polish league in his first season with his new club. His spell with Legia was brief, with him returning to Nowy Targ in 1965 where he won two more Polish titles (1966, 1969). Szal also played in 20 matches for the Polish national team, including representing them at the 1964 Innsbruck Olympics.
