Biography
Anton Wackerle finished ninth with the four-man bob Germany 2 at the 1964 Innsbruck Olympic Winter Games. He never won a West German national title. His father Sylvester Sr. and his brother Sylvester Jr. were also Olympians – his father as a bobsledder, his brother as a hockey player. The Wackerle family later owned the “Bräustüberl”, a tavern in Garmisch.
