Marc Pelchat was a sprint speed skater who competed in the 500 metres at the 1998 and 2002 Winter Olympics. He also competed at the single-distance World Championships in 1997 and 1998, and at the World Sprint Championships in 1998.
Pelchat was from Massachusetts but first attended Northern Michigan University before graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He worked as a professional skating consultant from 1995-2012, and also did motivational speaking and team building. In 2013 he settled in Lake Mills, Wisconsin as vice-president of sales and marketing for Seljan Company.
Personal Bests: 500 – 34.89 (2002); 1000 – 1:12.68 (1999); 1500 – 2:01.47 (1998).
