German snowboarder Xaver Hoffmann was a halfpipe specialist who competed at three consecutive Winter Olympics from 1998 at Nagano to 2006 at Torino with lesser success. In 2003, he won the halfpipe World Cup and won 13 podiums in total in World Cup events (4-5-4). In 1994, 1996, 1997, and 2003 Hoffmann won German national titles. He later founded a production company for snowboards named Hoffmannboards.
