John Kasper competed in four-man bobsled at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. After Nagano, Kasper worked as an assistant strength coach with the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings. Unfortunately, he tested positive for the anabolic steroid methandienone during an out-of-competition test in Lake Placid, New York in March 2001, and was suspended from bobsledding for two years, which effectively ended his career. He later went into sales and became director of TriZetto, a revenue cycle healthcare company, for whom he was based in Denver.
