Equestrian Jumping at the 1972 Summer Olympics

The 1972 Olympic jumping events were contested at the Reitstadion, or Riding Facility in the Riem section of München. This was a temporary facility constructed for the 1972 Olympics and it also hosted the modern pentathlon equestrian jumping phase.

Team and individual jumping competitions were held in 1972. As in 1960 and 1968, they were conducted separately, and this would become standard at the Olympics in the future. The team title went to Germany, while Italian Graziano Mancinelli won the individual gold medal.
